I have a valid visa. Can I use it?

If you are a national of Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Libya, your visa has been effectively cancelled and is not valid for travel.  Please note that this also affects dual nationals.  If you received a visa in a passport other than one of these nationalities, but hold one of these citizenships as well, you will not be able to travel.  At this time, we do not know if and when your visa will be able to be renewed.

At this time, applicants, visa holders and LPRs with Yemeni, Iranian, Iraqi, Somali, Sudanese, Syrian or Libyan are advised to contact DHS regarding waivers.

Can LPRs who are also citizens of these nationalities travel to the United States?

Currently, we understand that the Customs and Border Patrol is issuing waivers to U.S. Permanent Residents upon arrival to the United States.  Please note that the situation is fluctuating every day and that for the most current and accurate information, we advise applicants to contact DHS.
